Brown Bag Concert: Michele Fay Band
This Vermont based, acoustic trio features original and roots music and brings forth a comfortable groove of folk, swing, and bluegrass-influenced songs that are woven seamlessly together. Michele sings with a clear, authentic voice accompanied by guitar and banjo, while her husband, Tim Price, adds ideal melodic instrumentals on mandolin and guitar. Classically trained Doug Reid (Slant Six Swing Band, Rick and the Ramblers) works his dazzling fiddle, and Michael Santosusso (Smokin’ Grass, Big Spike Bluegrass) provides tenor harmonies and drives a dynamic beat with upright bass.  The Times Argus called them “smooth as a dollop of cream with your morning coffee,” and Seven Days has raved about the group’s “… deft lyrical turns and gripping imagery, and impressive storytelling abilities.”
