Woodstock's 16th Annual Community Showcase

A Pentangle tradition!  Applaud your friends and neighbors as they perform in a rousing annual celebration of the gifted artists right here in our own community.

This year’s fast-paced show is the brainchild of music director Bob Merrill and producer Kevin Fitzpatrick, spotlighting a mix of the professional performers and aspiring artists in our midst.   Returning Showcase favorites include Gina Capossela and her Raqs Salaam Dance Theater, Claire Shillen’s Full Moon Follies group, and multi-talented musicians like Al Alessi and Jack Snyder.   Bob Merrill serves as house pianist for several Broadway showcases, including newcomers Laine Gillespie and Katie Kitchell, and there’s even a Les Misérables montage featuring young singer Izzy Hiller and soprano Jen Page (most recently the star of Pentangle Players’ production of The Pirates of Penzance).    Sharon Groblicki taps our troubles away with a dazzling dance number, and teen talent takes center stage with contemporary song choices by Larken Goode, Lauren French, and Emma McLiverty.   Valley Improv makes a Showcase debut with comic interludes (audience participation required!), and other performers on the program include Will Drebitko, Dave Clark and Sweetgrass, and the WUHS Treble Choir.
